What we collect
If you take the free AI Capability Check we store your name, email, optional organisation, the role you selected, your answers, your summary, whether you agreed to marketing, and the time you submitted it. The privacy box is required. The marketing box is separate and optional. You can receive your summary without joining a mailing list.
Contact messages, course interest and newsletter sign-ups are stored in the same database. If you create an account we store your name, email and a hashed password. Client work may also include organisation structure, role titles and, only where a client has a clear purpose and staff have been told, CV text.
If you buy a toolkit we store your email, the product, the amount, a Stripe payment reference, and the download links we issue. Stripe processes the card on their page. We do not store your card number.
Why
We use check answers to show you your summary. We use contact details to reply. We use account data to sign you in. Marketing email is sent only if you opt in. The legal bases we expect to rely on are consent, for the check and marketing, and legitimate interests or contract, for client work. A solicitor should confirm that wording.
Where it is kept
The application and database are intended to run in the EU, on Render in Frankfurt, until a client needs UK residency. Suppliers such as the host, Stripe and the email provider process data on our instructions. We do not sell personal data.
How long
Free check results are kept for 24 months and then deleted. Contact messages are kept for 24 months. Purchase records are kept so we can provide downloads and for our accounts. A solicitor should confirm that period. Client data is deleted at the end of a contract unless we have agreed otherwise. You can ask for access, correction or deletion at hello@shiftnexus.com.
Individual results
Your check belongs to you. In organisational work, clients see aggregated results. Team views hide role-level detail when fewer than five people are in the team. The assessment supports development. It is not designed for performance management or selection.
